Baby Shower Fun!

Hi friends!  Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend.  My baby shower was yesterday and it was fantastic!

(Sidenote- I was at another Target on Saturday evening and found the same dress in a size small- it fit a lot better [it wasn't as big as the XS, weird] and I liked the size small pattern better- notsomuch greenage on the boobage.  Also, I’m not going blind- I put two left eye prescription contacts in on Saturday.  Special).

The baby shower was a brunch at the Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs.  The Gideon Putnam is located in Saratoga State Park and I loved driving up to it yesterday- the park is basically where I ran all of my long runs for the half last year and I always parked in the Gideon parking lot.  Sort of like my training grounds!  Anyway, it was nice to drive up and see all of the runners still doing their thing in the park.  I had more important things to do though- like attend my baby shower! :)

The brunch was so delicious (strawberry soup, omg) and it was so nice to catch up with everyone.

I got to see some wonderful friends…

10-6 girls!

My friend Laura and I

Besties since middle school!

Double bump!  My friend Kara is expecting a little boy at the end of December!

My running buddy!

Ate some delicious cupcakes…

Yum.

Opened up lots of presents….

Mingled with all of the wonderful guests…

 Mingle.

We received so many awesome gifts- everyone was so generous!  My grandmother knit Baby A a sweater, blanket, bibs, wash cloths, burp cloths and the cutest little leg warmers.  I need to post a pic!

My bestie Nicole did something really cool.  She drew each letter of Baby A’s name in the sand and then photographed it. The pic won’t post any bigger but you get the gist.  Awesome gift, eh?!  What is the most unique gift you’ve ever received?

Enjoy the rest of your Monday!   Make sure to check out my friend Linzi’s blog- I wrote a post on how to deal with deployment as a newlywed.  Have a good one, friends!

I love the idea. It will be such a fun thing she can have in her room as she grows up and not just for baby.

Her name is gorgeous. I love traditional names full of grace.

What a beautiful place for a baby shower! The dress you ended up buying looked great :) That gift with the sand and the name is so clever and adorable, it will look awesome in a nursery and still be something that will look great when she is 15 years old. I’ve told you already but I *love* the name! It’s so classic and beautiful :) The cupcakes are so pretty… what bakery did you get them from?

Thank you! :)

The cupcakes are from The Cupcake Lab in Saratoga- it’s right off broadway. Their site is here- http://www.thecupcakelab.com/ They were really good!
